No fewer than 120 members of the Muslim Aid Group of Nigeria in Bauchi State have received training on modern techniques for the search and rescue of missing children ahead of the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr Sallah Celebration.

The training organised by a Bauchi-based non-governmental organisation for members of the Aid Group who are often dressed in brown uniform and blue caps or white uniform and green caps during Islamic programmes was held at the Bauchi Central Mosque.

As the Eid-el Fitr celebration approaches, members of the Muslim Aid Group of Nigeria, Bauchi State chapter, were trained on how to render assistance on Traffic Control Management, Search and Rescue of missing children throughout the period.

Representing the Foundation, Abdulrazak Mohammed, enjoined the participants to ensure they put the knowledge acquired into practice, to help in observing a hitch-free celebration.

Speaking on behalf of the participants, Chairman of the Joint Aid Group, Bauchi State Council, Ibrahim Sani, commended the Foundation, and said the training would help in updating their humanitarian services, particularly in search and rescue operations, during the Eid Celebration.

At the end of the two-day capacity building, a bag of rice and wrappers were presented to each participant, to boost their morale, in discharging their duties effectively.
