Bayelsa community threatens to shut down oil installation OML 29

Women and Youths of Opu-Nembe community in Nembe Council Area of Bayelsa State, are threatening to shut down operations at Oil Mining Lease OML 29, which is the largest oil field in the Nembe creek.

In a peaceful protest at the community, they complained of being short-changed by the international oil companies operating at the OML 29, as the companies have not been able to perform their corporate social responsibility.
