A section of Balogun Market housing Cosmetics and Hair attachment went up in flames, Monday destroying goods worth Several millions at Issah Williams Street, off Breadfruit, Balogun Market.
The latest fire on the Island was said to touched twenty built up shops, three warehouses,and sixteen attachments in a three storey building , with eighty-six traders affected during the inferno which lasted several hours.
Though no life was lost as emergency responders who rushed to the scene of the incident battled to prevent the fire from spreading any further
As of the time of filling this report, no information on the exact cause of the fire was available even as the leadership of the market decried filling a building with too many power generators that the traders use during the day.
