The Commissioner of Police incharge of the Ebonyi State command, CP Augustina Ogbodo, has directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Tactical unit commanders to strategically deploy operational and intelligence assets to ensure adequate security in their areas of responsibility throughout the Eid-el-Fitr season.
The directive is contained in a Press Release issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu in Abakaliki on Tuesday.
It said, CP Ogbodo felicitates with all Muslim Ummah in Ebonyi State as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-fitri which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Press Release enjoins the Muslim faithful in the State to observe the celebrations with responsibility, extend compassion to their neighbours, and incorporate the principles and sacrifices of the recently completed Ramadan into their everyday lives.
The Ebonyi State Commissioner of Police urged residents of the State to continue to be law-abiding and to quickly report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
