Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, KADIRS, Jerry Adams, says that the State Government will no longer rely on Federation Account Allocation to fund projects.
During an engagement with Kaduna State student leaders, organised by state officials to address student challenges, KADIRS Chairman assured them of government’s commitment to self-sufficiency.
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, recently disclosed that, due to the servicing of foreign and domestic debts inherited from the previous administrations, the State Government faces challenges in executing new projects and completion of abandoned ones.

In the light of this, KADIRS Chairman, Jerry Adams, emphasised the agency’s strategies to increase revenue generation, to enable the State to undertake projects without relying on Federation Allocations, including payment of workers salaries.
Deputy Chief of Staff to the Kaduna State Governor, Ummar Waziri, highlighted the State Government ‘s efforts to enhance teacher and student welfare, thereby promoting quality education.
Ummar stressed that the purpose of the engagement was to foster mutual understanding between students and the government, and promotion of peace and unity, among diverse societal groups.
