Muslim faithful in Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria have joined their counterparts across the world to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr festival
However, those in Yelwa community of the state capital held their Eid prayers under high tension cables despite the risks associated with it. They therefore called on the Bauchi State Government to provide an alternative land as Eid Praying Ground in a more secured place for them to use.

Some Muslim faithful interviewed shortly after their prayers say they have been using the area under the high tension cables as Eid Ground for decades considering the large number of worshippers who turn up for the prayers.
