One person has been killed and many others abducted by Gunmen in Manta settlement, in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
The bandits also ransacked houses and carted away foodstuff and other valuables.
Many of the villagers ran into the nearby bush for safety.
Gunmen have also abducted an unspecified number of people from Gidigori, in the Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State.
The gunmen who carted away valuables also burnt down five cars.

A member of the community told Newsmen that those abducted have been taken to an unknown destination by the bandits who have not communicated their demands.
