Sixty-two Gender Based Violence cases have officially been recorded across Niger State in the last five months.
The Project Manager of a nongovernmental organization, Moses Ukamah, disclosed this during a Press Conference in Minna, the Niger State capital.
Moses Ukamah stressed that most of the victims of the reported cases of violence were women and children.

He said the Non-Governmental Organization has already paid advocacy visits to the Emirs in the eight Emirates of the state.
The Programme Manager further said that fifty women have been trained in different trades.
He added that his organization is willing to work with other Non-Governmental Organizations, to overcome gender-based violence and other related issues in state and beyond.
