The 2023 Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ebonyi State, in the 2023 General Election, Ifeanyi Odii has expressed concern over the rising rate of poverty, unemployment and hunger in the State.
Odii who was speaking at a meeting in Onicha, Ebonyi State, South East Nigeria told his audience that lack of access to potable water, non-existent viable industries, declining standard of education, lack of access to healthcare service delivery and poor rating in the ease of doing business were disturbing indices in the country, particularly in Ebonyi State,
He called on strata of governments to seat up to their responsibilities.
The former governorship candidate, in what appears a solemn speech said he has forgiven those whom he claimed betrayed the party in the 2023 election.
Odii highlighted the need for members of the PDP to remain resolute, united and focused on their shared goals and aspiration for a better Ebonyi State.
Others who spoke at the meeting called for a united and vibrant opposition in the State.
