A Former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has identified education, poverty eradication, and attitudinal change as panaceas to the security challenges in the country.
Yari said this while speaking with the committee he had set up to collect data on out-of-school children in two hundred and fifty thousand households in Zamfara State, to enable him support their education.
He noted that data is very important, but it is unfortunate that Nigeria does not have accurate data that could aid its development.
The former governor instructed the committee to get the data of those children who need support to acquire education as it would help them to drive the nation’s development.
He believes that the gap between the rich and the poor is fueling insecurity, which was initially on the Zamfara border, but has now spread to most parts of the Northwest.
Senator Abdulaziz Yari called on Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s administration with prayers, so that it can succeed in tackling the insecurity bedevilling the country, and restore peace across the troubled parts for overall development to thrive.
