Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma says the appointment of 22 Commissioners and 16 Special Advisers is to help to actualize the “Shared Prosperity” agenda of his administration.

Speaking during the opening of a 2-day retreat held at the Imo Data Center in Owerri, the State capital, the Governor warned the new appointees against corrupt conducts, and urged them to justify their presence in his government through excellent discharge of duties in their respective offices.

Governor Uzodimma said their continued stay in office would be guaranteed by the demonstration of honesty, love, unity, and discipline. He then charged them to see their appointment as an opportunity to serve and not an avenue to amass wealth.

The Governor stressed the need for political appointees and accounting officers to work together to realise the aspiration of taking Imo State to the next level of prosperity.

With the theme: “Building Effective Collaboration And Synergy For Delivering the Governor Hope Uzodmma’s Development Agenda”, the State Chief Executive charged them to hit the ground running as soon as the retreat is over and not engage in frivolous celebrations or seeking media bliss.
