Bayelsa State has joined the league of states across Nigeria to flag off the Covid-19 vaccine campaign.
The state government had on Thursday this week received 44,180 doses of the Astrazeneca vaccines, being the first batch from the federal government.
The state’s Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo who represented Governor Douye Diri was the first in the state to receive the dose of the Covid-19 vaccine followed by the commissioner for health, Pabara Newton.

The state currently has a total number of 800 Covid-19 confirmed cases with 26 mortalities.
