Private universities in Nigeria must support the government’s efforts in introducing and developing skills education in schools and tertiary institutions.
This is in an effort to bridge the gap between industries and education institutions with regard to skilled manpower.
This was one of the key resolutions reached at a collaborative meeting between the ministers of education, commerce, trade, and investment as well as officials of the Abuja Chamber of commerce and industry
According to Education Minister Professor Tahir Mamman, the collaboration is to further actualize components of the renewed hope agenda on skills acquisition for industry use.
