The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede has handed over fourteen recovered assets to the Governor of Enugu State, Governor Peter Mba.
During the handover ceremony which held at the EFCC’s headquarters in Abuja, Olukoyede revealed that the assets
recovered by the commission were forfeited to the Federal Government.
He says the EFCC began an investigation into the development since 2007 and has convicted persons connected to the matter.

He also noted that the President, Bola Tinubu ordered the handover of the assets which include real estates, radio and television transmission stations, medical facilities amongst others following a request made by the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mba.
On his part, the governor of Enugu state commended the EFCC as he thanked President Bola Tinubu for the order to
hand over the assets promising to utilize them for the good of Enugu state and its people.
