The Taraba State Police Command says its new strategy, which is progressive and result-oriented, is recording success stories in the fight against crime in the state.
The Commissioner of Police, David Iloyannomon, told journalists in a press conference, that the command has made vital arrests, in its clampdown on criminal activities in the state.
The Commissioner of Police also decried the increase in sexual and gender-based violence in the state, adding that the non-appearance in court by victims and witnesses, frustrates the law from taking its course on perpetrators.
The police say it has investigated and charged 37 cases to court in the last month, and calls for the support of citizens in its new strategy of fighting crime, through the involvement of the community.
