Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo

Kogi state Governor, Usman Ododo, says his administration remains committed to renewing the onslaught against criminals across communities in the state with a view to keeping KOGI safe and more attractive to investors and legitimate businesses from all over the world.

The governor said this during the official handing over of 105 operational vehicles and 42 motorcycles to the kogi state vigilance organization in Lokoja on Friday.

During the commissioning,
Governor ododo told the gathering that Security remaines the responsibility of every citizen, admonishing the people not to lower their guard with regards to environmental consciousness.

He also said that his government would continue to provide 24 hours response through a joint team of vigilante service men and conventional security agencies to enhance intelligence gathering and shorter response time to distress calls.

The security adviser to the governor, Commodore Jerry Omodara, said that crime and criminality are community based hence the efforts to make available adequate security logistics at the grassroots.

The kogi state government has continued to remind the people of the state that the Metropolitan Quick Response recently launched in Lokoja and other major towns in the state as well as the provision of operational vehicles are among series of evolving security measures geared toward ensuring that the environment remains safe for all law abiding citizens.
