Low voter turnout, and late arrival of election materials including complete absence of voting in some areas trailed Saturday local government election in oyo state.
Some respondents from the opposition All progressives Congress party in the state and other electorate while reacting to the conduct of the exercise said the failure of the Oyo state independent electoral commission to conduct a generally acceptable standard election in-line with prescribed guidelines is a calculated attempt to manipulate the outcome of the election in favour of the ruling peoples Democratic Party in the state .
