The Duke of sussex, Prince Harry and his wife, the Duchess of sussex, Meghan markle are billed to visit Nigeria in May, 2024.
The visit is expected to consolidate Nigeria’s strong hold at the Invictus games and the possibility of Nigeria, hosting the event in future.
The Invictus games is an international multi- sport event, founded by Prince Harry and first held in 2014.
It was created for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans.
The word ‘Invictus’ is Latin for ‘unconquered’, chosen as an embodiment of the fighting spirit of the wounded, injured and sick service personnel and what they can achieve, post-injury.

It also gives soldiers awareness and recognition in society to support their path in rehabilitation.
The Invictus games had about 500 participants at the last outing and 21 nations in attendance, including Nigeria which made a head way with gold and silver at it’s first outing last year.

In a statement, Director Defence of Information, Brigadier General TUKUR GUSAU said, During their stay in the country, The Duke and duchess will be meeting with Service members and will be hosted to arrays of cultural activities.
