Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have attacked Kwapre village in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, North-East Nigeria.

Seven persons have been confirmed dead, with 5,000 villagers displaced and some persons abducted.

Kwapre village is on the border between Adamawa and Borno States. Its proximity to the Sambisa Forest has made the village to come under attack in the past.

Confirming the attack, the Executive Secretary of Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency, Muhammed Sulaiman, said the insurgents came in 9 vehicles, surrounded the village and killed 7 people, including 3 children.
