The Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria, MEMAN says it feels saddened by the pains currently faced by Nigerians occasioned by present supply challenges of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, popularly known as petrol which has resulted in long queues at many retail outlets across the country.
In a statement released in Lagos Tuesday, the Association says while it feels concerned over the latest development and the attendant consequences on citizens, its members are working with other critical partners like the Petroleum Tanker Drivers and the National Association of Road Transport Owners, NARTO to ensure that the current supply challenges are addressed within the next few days.

In furtherance of this, the statement read, “Our members in Apapa and other locations in Lagos are taking PMS product from eight vessels this week with over 300 million litres of PMS, well above our normal vessels”.
The statement notes that members of MEMAN are already making arrangements that will ensure that depots extend their loading times including on Workers Day which is a public holiday to enable tanker drivers load adequate volume of the product. It advises against any form of panic on the part of the public since there is adequate stock of PMS to meet the demands across the country.
