The Ogun State House of Assembly has set up a legislative compliance committee to monitor the level of compliance to the existing laws passed by the assembly.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide made this known in Abeokuta during the visit of the consolidated chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists to his office.
The speaker said the Assembly has made laws on land grabbing, anti cultism, child rights and protection among others but observed that most of the laws are not adequately enforced.
Oludaisi said the House decided to create the committee to ensure proper monitoring and compliance to laws made by the assembly, adding that the house is committed to making laws capable of impacting positively on the lives of residents .
