Imams and teachers of Islamic schools were in attendance with a delegation of their students.

Governor Abubakar Bello expressed satisfaction with the turn out, as well as the participation.

The prayer session is part of activities lined up to seek Allah’s intervention in the security challenges the communities in Niger State have been contending with for years.

Lives and properties have been lost as a result of persistent bandit attacks, especially in communities across rural areas.

Communities in about 16 local government areas have witnessed different attacks at different times from the bandits.

The worst-hit local governments are Shiroro, Rafi, Munya and Mariga. Others are Mashegu, Lavun, Again, Lapai, Katcha and Wushishi. Gurara, Suleja,Tafa, Kontagora, Agwara and Borgu are also not left out.
