Eight hundred beneficiaries of the Akwa Ibom State Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme, have been given N400m as grants to grow their businesses.
At the cheques presentation ceremony in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, Governor Umo Eno charged the beneficiaries to put the grants to proper use.
During his electioneering campaigns, Governor Umo Eno emphasized that he would support businesses with grants and soft loans.
True to his words, he gave out an initial grant of N400m to 800 beneficiaries of the State’s Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme , EAP and shared business tips with the beneficiaries who went home with 500 thousand naira each.
For a physically challenged beneficiary, Jones Akpan, luck smiled on him as Governor Eno, moved by compassion, directed additional support for him.

Team Lead of Ibom Leadership Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Imo Abasi Jacob assured that the quality of training would yield dividends.
Cheques were presented to beneficiaries from various programmes including Ibom-LED Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme EAP, Ibom-LED Business Leadership and Entrepreneurship Programme BLEP, Ibom-LED Business Mastery Programme BMP, and Ibom-LED Start-Up Accelerator and Incubation Programme SAIP.
