Seven people have been killed in terrorist attack on Tudun Bichi village in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria.
Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris has visited the community to commiserate with the people over the killings and assured of the deployment of additional security personnel to the area. He said this will booster security and the protection of lives and property of people.
Governor Idris said the topmost priority of the Kebbi State Government is the provision of security for the people so that they could go about their normal activities safely.
He added that his administration has taken a myriad of proactive measures to improve security in the state by supporting the various security agencies.
While sympathising with the victims over the attack, Governor Idris also promised to provide relief assistance to them.
He urged the residents to report any suspicious stranger in their midst to the nearest security agency and warned that he will not hesitate to sign the death warrant of any convicted informant.
The District Head and Dagacin Tudun Bici, Muhammadu Mikailu, thanked the Governor for the sympathy visit and appealed to him for rapid deployment of security personnel and rehabilitation of the 3-kilimetre road in the area.
Mikailu commended the resilience of the security personnel stationed in the area in fighting the bandits.
