Chidiebere Ihekuroye is the champion of the Raypower Children’s Day Spelling Bee Competition. He emerged the winner over Grace Kem Elebiga of Eliada Group of Schools in the finals.
The competition which is Raypower 106.5 FM corporate social responsibility in developing the vocabulary skills of secondary school students attracted the participation of 11 schools in this year’s competition.

The Raypower Children’s Day Spelling Bee Competition had 30 students from 11 schools in the Rivers State capital competing for the gold trophy.
After 3 weeks of intensive drills in the Raypower studio, 4 students including Fondness Akuche, Grace Elebiga, and Chidiebere made it to the semi-final and but it was Chidiebere and Grace that got the final ticket.

The final was keenly contested as Chidiebere took advantage of a slip by Grace to emerge as champion of the Children’s Day edition of the show.
Delighted with the win, Chidiebere had a word of advice for Grace who struggled to put herself together.
Parents of the children commended DAAR Communications PLC, owners and operators of AIT and Raypower for putting together the top class show.
The gold trophy and prize money were later presented to Chidiebere Ihekoronye while Grace got a medal and a cheque for the runner up position.
