The entire 17 members of the Plateau State House of Assembly have boycotted the North Central House of Representatives’ two-day public hearing on the review of the 1999 Constitution held in Jos, the Plateau State Capital.
AIT.LIVE gathered that the 17 members were missing in action during the important exercise, following a face-off between them and State Governor Simon Lalong, on the issue of Autonomy.
Efforts to speak to them on camera were unsuccessful, however, a member of the ruling APC in the State Assembly who like to remain anonymous said that it was a unanimous decision by members to boycott the hearing.

He added that members are also fed up of being remote controlled by the Governor.
They also rejected payments of their two months salaries by the State government, insisting that they want to be in charge of their finances.
Other issues on ground he said include the conduct of a fresh Local Government elections in the State, with another transition Management Committee.
They said that such announcement by the Governor took them unawares but will not succumb.
