The Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has assured the people of the state that security agencies are making efforts to rescue abducted students of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara.
The Governor gave the assurance during a visit to the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, to ascertain the level of damage done by the kidnappers that invaded the institution on Thursday night.
The Suspected bandits were said to have attacked the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, and kidnapped scores of students who were preparing for their first semester examination.
After a guarded tour of the institution to assess the situation on Saturday, governor Usman Ododo, said preliminary reports indicated internal sabotage due to the disconnection of the CCTV cameras within the premises shortly before the attack.
Governor Ododo however
promised to review ongoing security operations within and around the institution to ensure speedy rescue of the abducted students.
He said his administration will continue to strengthen security across school communities to make them safe for students to go about their academic activities.
