Delta swears in new SSG

Delta state governor senator Ifeanyi Okowa orders all political appointees to shun complacency and put in extra efforts to assist his administration to deliver on its promises to the people of Delta state.

Governor Okowa who gave this instruction in government house Asaba at the swearing in ceremony of new secretary to the state government, Patrick Ukah and other special advisers said his administration which is currently on its finishing line could only be measured on how it ended its race.

Patrick Ukah a fellow of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) under governor Okowa administration had in the first instance been appointed commissioner for information, later commissioner for basic and secondary education and now made the secretary to the state government.

Governor Okowa in his remarks after Ukah swearing in described him as an unpretentious, mien,with humble outlook and bubbling personality, an integral part of his government smart agenda that gave birth to the present stronger delta adding that SSG requires a person who will blend politics with policy, mobilize resources, personnel and other neccessary support for the agenda of government.

The governor who said he loves Ukah’s spirit of sacrifice, hard work and dedication to duty charged the new special advisers to discharge their duties in line with section 196 sub-section 1 of 1999 constitution of Nigeria as amended to enable his administration end well.

The new SSG Patrick Ukah on behalf of other appointees and himself assured on running the remaining race with vigour.
