The 2020 – 2050 long term development plan for Abia State, South East is to be implemented to the later to ensure the advancement of the rich oil and gas State.
This assurance was given at a workshop in Umuahia to assess the progress made so far by successive administratins in the implementation of the development plan.
State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Kingsley Anosike said the Alex Otti-led government will stick to the document, though with considerations on the realities of the present economic situation in the country.
Participants at the workshop acknowledge that the implementation of activities and projects of the present government are in-line with the 2020-2050 long term Development Plan of Abia State which they say is people oriented.
The workshop is taking a look at the economic and soc is al sectors of the State’s 2024 budget, which has to do with infrastructure development and revenue collection in Abia State.
