The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC says it received with shock the sudden death of one of its former Executive Chairmen, Ibrahim Lamorde.
In a Statement by the Commission signed by its Head, Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, Lamorde was a pioneer Director of Operations and third substantive Chairman of the EFCC between February 15, 2012 and November 9, 2015. He served the nation actively as a focused and gallant anti- graft fighter.
The EFCC says Lamorde will be sorely missed by it and the nation at large as it prays for the repose of his soul and comfort for his family, the Commission and the nation.
Lamorde died in Egypt where he had travelled for medical treatment of an undisclosed ailment.
He was aged sixty- one.
