In a bid to curb youth restiveness and address the issue of unemployment in the society, Oyo state government says it has put plans on ground to train 500 youths in the state on various skills.
Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Wasilat Adegoke who made this know at a press conference in Ibadan, said the program is designed cushion the hardship on the unemployed youths in the state.
There is no doubt that the removal of petrol subsidy by the present administration has brought untold hardship to citizens.
It is to cushion this effect, that the Oyo state government through the Ministry of Youths and sports is set to empower 500 youths in different skills.
According to the state government, the program is geared at solving the problem of unemployment in the country
Fifteen youths each from the 33 local government areas of the state who are graduates and indigenes of Oyo state will benefit from this program including people living with disability.
