The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, has urged its staff to avoid corrupt practices in order not to portray the commission in bad light.
The managing director of the NDDC, Samuel Ogboku stated this during a strategic capacity building training, on due process compliance and anti-corruption standards for NDDC staff in port Harcourt.
The theme for the strategic capacity building training on due process compliance and anti-Corruption standards for the NDDC staff is “forestering peaceful engagement for sustainable development”
The managing director, Samuel Ogboku represented by the executive director projects, NDDC, Victor Antai said the training programme was to enable the staff not to fall short of the law in the discharge of their functions.
Speakers from various anti-Corruption agencies enjoined the trainees to avoid corrupt tendencies.
Some of the trainees say they will put their new knowledge to practice in the discharge of their functions.
The NDDC said such regular training are needed for the benefit of the people of Niger Delta region.
