Terrorists operating in the Shiroro Forest area of Niger State have again launched attack on farmers in Kasumani Village.

The recent attack in Kasumani saw dozens of farmers flee their homes as the terrorists razed their houses, motorcycles, barns and other properties worth millions of Naira.

A source in the area said a similar attack was carried out in Unguwar-Madi Village, forcing residents to flee to Erena.

He added that the slow action of the government in addressing terrorism and the Boko Haram insurgency in the Lakpma axis of the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State is a pressing concern.

It was also gathered that the delayed and inadequate response has led to an escalation of attacks and violence, increasing displacement of people, and worsening humanitarian crisis.
