The Nigeria Customs Service and Benin Republic have entered into an agreement to open one-single Border point at Segbana/Tsamiya Border in order to enhance trade and to ease business activities between the two countries.
At the signing of the agreement at Sebgana Border in Benin Republic the Controller of the Nigeria Customs Service in Kebbi State, Iheanacho Ernest Ojike said, the two Countries agreed to workout modalities aimed at having single border point that would facilitate trade as well as ease business activities of the countries.
According to Ojike, once the long awaited dream of establishing this single border post is actualized social economic challenges in these two Countries will become a forgotten narrative.
Remarks from the relevant authorities and representatives of Segbana/Tsamiya border committee, reveal that The border opening would boost economic activities of the two countries.
They Commended both federal and State Governments for initiating the action to bring succour and livelihood to people of the two Countries by agreeing to establish an international registered one-stop border post.
