Edo State Government has once again issued a stern warning to community youth leaders and those involved in cultism to desist as it will do everything within the ambit of the law to ensure the protection of lives and property in the state.

This warning was issued by Governor Obaseki while on a visit to three wounded soldiers who were attacked at their duty post in Okomu of Ovia South West Local Government Area.

Governor Godwin Obaseki was represented at the visit to the Military Hospital in Benin City by the State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare.

The visit was to check on some wounded soldiers who were attacked at their duty post in Okomu.

Governor Obaseki is not happy with the development which is a threat to the peace and stability of the area.
He points accusing fingers at those involved in cultism and community youth leaders also known as okaigheles whose activities have now been banned by the state government.

The Governor speaks about the resistance to the ban which has been put in place to protect lives and property

He wants all hands to be on deck in the fight against cultism and the alleged unwholesome activities of community youth leaders.

Obaseki says enough is enough of the nefarious activities which are inimical to growth and development of the state
