Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, has commissioned an ultra-modern ICT Centre at the state-owned university, designed to cultivate a generation of highly skilled professionals.
The Centre will focus on nurturing technologies, to address climate change, advance agrotechnology and combat deforestation, in an evolving ecosystem in Northern Nigeria.
The ICT project is a joint venture partnership, sponsored by Shell Petroleum, SPDC, and NNPCL, as corporate social responsibility to the Bauchi State Government.

With the advent of the climate change challenge, according to the sponsors, the initiative will serve as a national catalyst for education, technology, youth empowerment, and capital development, technology in an academic environment.
Bauchi state Director of ICT, Hayatudeen Babamaji who performed the commissioning of the project on behalf of Governor Bala Mohammed said the initiative will no doubt help in developing the technology not only for the students, but for the entire state.
With the upcoming Kolmani Integrated Development in Bauchi and Gombe States, the sponsors said they look forward to support and cooperation from the Bauchi State Government, traditional institutions, and the host communities to guarantee the desired benefits in the interest of the nation.
