Infrastructure: NEDC Summons Contractors For Delayed Obstetrics Festula Centre Projects In Ningi, Bauchi

The Management of the North East Development Commission NEDC has expressed dismay over the slow pace of execution of some projects and directed the contractor handling the construction of some projects at the National Obstetrics Fistula Centre in Ningi local government area of Bauchi State to appear before the commission.

Managing Director NEDC Mohammed Alkali Gave the Directives During the commission’s inspection visits to some of the projects awarded by the commission In Bauchi state North East Nigeria.

The Team led by the Managing Director North East Development Commission NEDC Mohammed Alkali said the visit is aimed at ensuring monitoring and evaluation of projects so as to ensure the execution of quality projects.

Among the projects visited in Bauchi North Senatorial District Include Solar powered Boreholes, the ongoing construction of Mega School In Giade local government area where the management described the execution of the projects as commendable.

However, while inspecting some projects at the national obstetrics fistula centre ningi, the managing director of the commission expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of of work directing the contractor handling the projects to appear before the commission.

The Managing Director NEDC warns that the commission would not tolerate poor handling of projects by the contractors for the good of all.
