As organisers of the August one protest against hunger and bad governance in Nigeria make some of their demands known, the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman has appealed to students in tertiary institutions not to join the protest.
The Minister made the appeal when he received the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS.

Some demands of the protesters include, reduction in cost of governance, end insecurity, payment of N250,000 living wage and revert electricity tariff hike.
