Senator Sahabi Ya’u, representing Zamfara North Senatorial Zone, is advocating for dialogue between the government and the organisers of the planned protest, #Endbadgovernance, as the best way to resolve the grievances of the protesters.
He said this while fielding questions from newsmen, shortly after flagging off the distribution of palliatives to farmers in his senatorial zone, in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.
He cautioned the planned protesters to think twice, because if they start the protest, they do not know how its outcome will be, and perhaps it could degenerate into a crisis, which is why he is calling on them to embrace dialogue, as a way to submit their grievances to the government.
On the insecurity bedevilling Zamfara State, the Federal Lawmaker lamented that his people have suffered for too long from the insecurity, which has crippled economic activities in the state.
Planned Protest: Nasarawa Gov Appeals To Indigenes To Give Peace A Chance
Senator Ya’u believes that the Bola Tinubu-led administration is making efforts to tackle the insecurity, and soonest it will bring it to an end.
He urged the people to keep faith in the government, and support it to bring about peace, which will in turn engender positive development in the state, and the country at large.
He said the aim of providing farm input to farmers, such as fertilizers, maize seeds, high-breed rice, and spraying machines, among others, is to empower the beneficiaries for improved production.
