The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara is dead.
Ayilara reportedly died early Thursday morning at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, after undergoing surgery for prostrate cancer.
There is palpable expression of grief at the State Police Command headquarters with the deceased expected to be buried later today according to Islamic rites.
