As part of move to boost Nigeria’s refining capacity, NNPC Ltd has announced plans to adopt new maintenance and compliance measures, as well as deploy cutting-edge technology solutions at its Warri and Kaduna refineries.
The company says it aims to ensure sustained production and enhance refining quality, setting a new standard in the industry.
According to the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, Olufemi Soneye, the company is seeking a short and long-term Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services contract for the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) and Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC).
The scope of work for the O&M services contract encompasses various activities, including production planning, maintenance execution, quality control, and environmental management.
The tender process will involve a three-stage evaluation, ensuring transparency and competitiveness.Soneye highlighted the key objectives of the O&M services, emphasizing steady and sustained refining production, adherence to best maintenance and regulatory compliance ethics, and cost minimization.
The O&M is expected to improve refining processes, guarantee quality, and apply latest technologies like Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) and Warehousing Management System (WMS).
