The twenty two point nine eight kilometre Sobe-Sabongida road constructed by Edo State Government under Governor Obaseki in fulfillment of his campaign promise in 2020 has been commissioned.
The major link road which connects Owan West Local Government Area to other parts of Edo State and beyond brings relief for the people who had hitherto suffered untold hardship.
The road is strategically positioned and connects two major federal roads, Ujemen-Iruekpen-Ozalla-Sabongida Ora-Ifon road and the Benin-Sobe-Akure Road.
Its construction significantly impacts on the movement of goods and services.
Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku who hails from the Local Government appreciates Obaseki for the road which will enhance regional and national trade, and reduce travel time.
Another road was also commissioned in Owan East to improve the overall efficiency of the state’s transportation network.
