Kogi Gov.Warns Against Diversion Of Fertilizers Meant For Genuine Farmers

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, says anyone caught diverting fertilizers or found to be engaged in inequitable distribution and exclusion of genuine farmers in the state will have his administration to contend with.

Governor Ododo gave the warning during the commencement of the distribution of over 25 trucks of fertilizers to farmers in the 21 local government areas in the state over the weekend in Lokoja, the state capital. He emphasized his administration’s commitment to developing the agricultural sector.

The Kogi state Governor said that the 25 Trucks of fertilizers provided by the federal government to be distributed to genuine farmers across Kogi state is in line with his vision to revamp the agricultural sector in the Confluence state.

The governor therefore reminded the people that his administration will not tolerate acts of sabotage in the distribution of the fertilizer across the state

The Governor commended President Bola Tinubu for increasing incentives for agricultural production in all states of the federation to reverse the current economic challenges faced by citizens.

The state commissioner for agriculture and food security, Timothy Ojomah, encouraged farmers to make good use of the fertilizer provided by the federal government to boost the agricultural sector in the state.

The distribution of 25 trucks of fertilizers to genuine farmers in Kogi State by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is part of the ongoing efforts of the Federal Government to increase food production in this year’s wet season farming.
