The Zamfara State Government has punctured a report claiming that it gave some bandits and media promoters huge sums of money from the security Trust Fund under the guise of reconciliation
The Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Malam Abubakar Nakwada, who was reacting to the said report, termed it a fake and mischievous report, which was allegedly said to have emanated from the office of the Secretary to the State Government
He said that the state government under Governor Dauda Lawal has consistently announced its firm stance against negotiating with bandits or terrorists adding that the position still stands.
The Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Mallam Abubakar Nakwada, while addressing newsmen on the said report, reiterated that the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal is committed to transparency and accountability, describing it as fabricated lies, aimed at distracting the government from its commitment to rescuing and rebuilding the state.
He noted that the administration has been unequivocal in its approach to addressing the security challenges facing the state, and has implemented strategic measures, to combat the menace of banditry noting that its efforts have always been guided by integrity, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the people.
Nakwada said the fabricated document, and the baseless claims are not only distracting, but also attempt to erode the trust and confidence that the people of Zamfara, have in the leadership and the efforts to restore peace and order.
The Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State, Abdulzeer Sani said efforts are in top gear to fish out, arrest and prosecute the fabricators of the false report, in line with the law.
