The people of Edo Central senatorial district say the flagberear of the peoples Democratic party, PDP, Asue Ighodalo is a consensus candidate for the September 21 Governorship election in the state.
The Esan speaking people in Edo state where the candidate hails from said this during the party’s campaign across the five local government areas in Edo Central.
A massive crowed welcomed the PDP and its Governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo together with his running mate, Osarodion Ogie, to Esan land made up of two components, AGBAZILO and Okpebho.
The people said they have agreed to vote for Asue Ighodalo who is their kingsman.
The PDP candidate promised not to disappoint the people of Esan if elected during the September 21 Governorship election, saying it was time to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of Edo Central.
The people thanked the PDP and governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki for giving them the opportunity to produce the next governor which they said was long overdue.
