Osun state governor, senator Ademola Adeleke has flagged off the construction of 84 kilometres rural roads across different communities in Boripe local government area of the state.
During the Flag-off, Governor Adeleke said the gesture is to address challenges hindering farmers as well as to enhance optimization of agricultural potentials and socio economic growth in rural communities in the state.
Governor Adeleke who was represented by the secretary to the state government, Teslim Igbalaye said the project which is being undertaken by Osun Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, RAAMP is out of the 240 roads slated to be done in rural communities across the state for agricultural development.

He added that his government is committed to supporting RAAMP projects implementation in rural and urban centres for sustainable improvement in socio economic wellbeing of the people of the state
One of the traditional rulers in the benefitting commumities, Oba Rufus Ogunwole said the projects will offer a new lease of life to stakeholders in farming and agrarian businesses and also boost agricultural businesses in the state
Gov. Adeleke noted that global food insecurity and the need for improved support for rural farmers informed his government’s decision to purchase tractors and distribute farm inputs to farmers in the state.
