CDS Salutes Troops On Eid-El-Maulud, Hails Killing Of Halilu Sububu

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has Commended members of the Armed Forces for their courage and bravery, particularly troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA in Zamfara State for bringing down a notorious bandit leader, Haliru Buzu and others.

A Statement by the director defence information Brigadier General Tukur Gusau notes that The Defence Chief also extended his appreciation to the troops of Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri for their noble role in rescuing thousands of flood victims during the recent devastating flood in Maiduguri

The Chief of defence Staff also extended his greetings and best wishes to the muslim faithful as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Maulud

the CDS called on all Nigerians to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, which emphasizes peace, compassion, tolerance, justice and service to humanity. These he said are the same virtues that guide the noble mission of the military to protect the territorial integrity of the nation and safeguard the security and well-being of all Nigerians.

General Musa called on troops to re-double their efforts in defending their mother land, and to also continue to uphold the highest standards of discipline, loyalty and integrity that are the hall marks of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
