The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Makurdi branch, has expressed disappointment, over the handling of the reported assault on its chairman by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, early in June.
The State Chairman, Justin Gbagir who was the victim, is more concerned after his long-awaited meeting with the agency chairman did not yield the desired result.
The assault reported to have been committed, by the operatives of the Makurdi Zonal office of the Economic and financial crimes commission EFCC, on Thursday the 8th of June,2021, has left him battling with a complicated eye condition.
The Makurdi Branch NBA Chairman said that over a month after the unfortunate altercation, the authorities of the commission are yet to take any form of responsibility as he moves from one hospital to another in search of the right medical attention.

But the commission’s spokesman said the EFCC chairman had met with the victim, but behind closed doors.
Gbajir who had called for the dismissal of the Zonal commander and other compensations, says he would however wait for the response of the NBA National Executives, before his next line of action.
