The Federal High Court In Abuja has Adjourned The Alleged Money Laundering Case Filed By The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission EFCC Against The Immediate Past Governor Of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello To October 30, 2024.

Justice Emeka Nwite Adjourned The Case On Grounds That Bello Had Approached The Supreme Court To File An Appeal Seeking To Set Aside The Arrest Warrant Issued By The Trial Court On April 17,2024.

At The Resumed Hearing On Wednesday, Bello’s Counsel Urged The Court To Await The Decision Of The Supreme Court Before Taking Any Step On His Arraignment

Counsel For The EFCC, Kemi Pinheiro gowever told the Court That The Defendants Were Turning The Court Into A Place For Entertainment.

The Anti-graft Agency Is Prosecuting The Former Governor Alongside Ali Bello, Dauda Suleiman And Abdulsalam Hudu On A 19-count Charge Bordering On Money Laundering To The Tune Of N80.2billion
