As the search for the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP intensifies some Benue PDP youth want Iyorchia Ayu’s replacement to not only come from his State but be unanimously adopted from his zone within the State.
The Group under the aegis of Benue People’s Democratic Party Youth Forum insists that anyone outside the Zone where the former Chairman hails from aspiring to replace him is trying to violate the long existing doctrine of the party and should be advised to drop such an ambition.
The country’s main opposition party the People’s Democratic Party PDP still picking up the pieces after its defeat in the 2023 general elections and the fall out that ensued.
For the coalition of concerned young members known as the Benue PDP youth forum it is time to join hands with the leaders of the party to rebuild and reposition it.
They speak on their choice for the National Chairmanship position which is to replace Iyorchia Ayu whose replacement they argue should come from the same region which is the Benue North West Senatorial district.
The party pressure group go on to pass a vote of confidence on the acting National Chairman for the leadership he is providing for the party in acting capacity.
